The Kenyan Sand Boa is a small, burrowing snake native to arid and semi-arid regions of East Africa. Adult males reach 38–51 cm in length, females are much larger, reaching 61-91 cm. With proper care, Kenyan Sand Boas can live 15–20 years in captivity, and some may reach 25 years. Their unique appearance, including a thick, cylindrical body and blunt head, makes them a popular choice.
